As you know, COVID-19 changed the rules of work around the world completely.
Remote and hybrid work arrangements, virtual networks, and flexible schedules
are examples of this. In addition, Canadian workers continue to highlight some of
the specific needs that they are looking for in a job like better working conditions,
more balance between work-life, and a strong focus on diversity and inclusion.
In 2022, 76% of employees and job seekers report that a diverse workforce is an
important factor when evaluating companies and job offers. According to this
year´s Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list, diversity was the most important factor
for employees when nominating a company.
Glassdoor´s list is a no self-nomination, no cost-involved survey which is based on
the feedback provided by employees. For example, if an employee doesn’t share
reviews on Glassdoor during the year-long eligibility time frame, it is assumed that
the employer was not considered for his vote.
Some of the attributes that a workplace needs to be on the top 10 are:
Career opportunities
Compensation and benefits
Culture and values
Diversity and inclusion
Senior management
Work-life balance, among others.
